little babe ((26 weeks))
HIGH: My little mister has a name. Scott chose the first name, I chose the middle--it's a happy compromise and I'm excited to share it soon. I'm not quite ready to write it on the wall just yet---but getting close. Lilly was always Lilly from day one---so it's really nice to be able to call my gentleman by a name and not just dude, boyfriend, or Ryder ( lilly has a thing for Tangled).
I really thought that we were having another girl. I was quite shocked to hear "boy" at the 20 week ultrasound. I had my girl name all set to go, and in a weird pregnancy hormone infused way I kinda had to mourn my girl name. *Someday* **maybe** ***if having two doesn't kill me***
LOW: As with most women it is really hard to gain weight and see your body changing in ways that give you a little twinge. I've decided that people in general do not know how to talk to a pregnant woman. Or maybe---a pregnant woman doesn't know how to NOT take pregnancy comments personally. Regardless, the
"Oh you're about to pop!" ((nope, have three more months!))
"You sure there aren't twins in there, dang!" (( nope, just one))
"That's going to be a BIG BOY" ((pretty sure he's average))
"You seem bigger this time around" (( yup, thanks for pointing that out))
" You look tired" (( thanks, butt head))
I *know* the comments are not MEANT to offend. But garsh darn it---no one wants to hear comments about their size regardless if they are carrying a human or not. Just lie to me and tell me I look great and that I'm all belly. I'll love you and my double chin all the more.
WOAH: The nesting. Good LORD the nesting. I'm obsessed with redecorating. Not necessarily organizing like perhaps I should considering our house limitations, but spray painting things. If you're black, or ugly, or looking at me a weird way you're going to get a glossy coat of white paint. Nothing is safe---even my pasta sauce jar from last night's spaghetti.

little babe ((20 weeks))
oh hai. :)
So it's been a bit and I thought I'd pop in for a little update! Things are chug-a-lugging along here in my corner of the world. This month has been a wonderful month and here are some quick highlights.
1. Baby is growing healthy and loves camping out on my sciatic nerve or SI joint which means time usually spent blogging is now a date with my heating pad. ;)
2. We started Financial Peace University and it's really changing my life. in a good way!
3. I've been doing lots of lillypie dreaming. There are some big changes coming this spring that I'm excited about.
HIGH: Purchasing new maternity clothes! Any reason to shop at all is fun for me, but after reading Little Twig's No Brainer Wardrobe, I've really enjoyed adding to my maternity collection. I've had few instances of a closet explosion and cursings of "I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAAAAAAARRRRRRR WAHHHHHHH"" this pregnancy. I'm really trying to be cost, season, and style effective with my purchases.
LOW: Baby is quite literally getting on my nerves. Lots of back pain and unfortunately lots of complaining....which had led to lots of ice cream.
WOAH: I'm half way done and that in and of itself is CRAZY to me. Perhaps it's the two year old running circles around me, or my busy work day , or the lack of 2nd trimester energy, or the fact that I'm much happier this go around but goodness gracious this little one will be here soon. Woah.

little babe ((16weeks))
So I don't know if you remember, but I'm pregnant with numero two. EEEEEE!!!!
This pregnancy has been so ridiculously different from my first. The months of November and December are hazy and full of memories of being surrounded by delicious food that I wanted NOTHING to do with. I think it's safe to say I'm the only one who lost weight over the holidays. It really was tragic. Food everywhere. Wanting to vomit. Nothing tasting good. It was something of a terrible nightmare.
The fog has lifted and I'm happily trotting through the second tri ((for the most part)). I'm showing a lot earlier than I did with Lilly. I'm okay with it and am enjoying the look of pregnancy more this time around.
High: I looove knowing that I'm supporting LIFE. I feel like I am fulling a PURPOSE sustaining this little baby right now. It's a feeling of accomplishment and love. I've been feeling the little nudges from this little guy for two weeks now. The flutters of a little one flipping around are so special. Happy to have them back!
Low: The sickness. THE SICKNESS. I believe I'm just over the hump now. May I never stare down my toilet ever. again. Caffiene every three days is suck town too. I HATE cutting back.
WOAH: We live in a pretty little ranch house-with two bedrooms. TWO bedrooms for a soon to be family of FOUR. We had originally planned on putting our house on the market and moving on up to a larger home when baby two came along. However after much number crunching and praying we've decided to stay. We're not quite sure how it will all work just yet, but we both feel like staying is where we need to be. We're really trusting that everything will work out just fine. Small houses build tight families will be my mantra.

High, Low,Woah {V.3}
Good Morning! I'm starting this week off on a positive note. On my way in to work, I'm grabbing a gingerbread chai latte--so this monday HAS to be good! I hope that you have a great morning as well! I thought I'd share my high, low, woah from this weekend with you all in hopes that you'll share yours with me! I'm also sprinkling in some prints from a few of a favorite shops.

This weekend was a GREAT lillypie weekend. It was a weekend where the thoughts of "Mayyyybbeee full time???" started swimming in my head again. Last week I launched Adorable Winter and I'm so happy that it is doing well. I love getting the notes attached to the orders telling me that they are "sooo excited to be getting a creation from me all winter long." It makes me feel good, and Imma BLOW their socks off with the adorables headed their way come December. If you'd like to learn more, check this post out!
Also, I'm participating in a few gift guides and one of them launches today! I think gift guides are such a fun and easy way to learn about handmade shops. I am really looking forward to finding some new shops and picking up items for loved ones on my Christmas list. Oh--and the discount codes are awesome too. I love a deal. Kim, from Oh, Sweet Joy! is such a doll and I'm excited to work with her! Her HANDMADE HOLIDAYS is up now! :)
aaannnndd Leonora from Yellow Heart Art designed an AMAZING lillypie logo for me and we finalized it on Friday. I've been playing and tweaking all things lillypie and am looking forward to rolling out a brand new look SOON!
LOW
While talking this weekend, Scott and I realized that we haven't been on a date in a month. Life is so busy and our obligation list gets longer and longer with each passing moment. I can tell when we haven't connected emotionally and this weekend it was felt. I was snippy. He was standoffish. We both decided some time alone is needed--it's penciled in for next weekend. Hopefully a high for next week will be some much needed QT with my man! :)
WOAH
On Saturday Lilly and I made our routine trip to craft stores, barnes and noble and Target. Target is our last stop and ONLY. THE . ESSENTIALS. are bought. SOMEHOW on this trip we ended up in the shoe department trying on boots. ?!?! Does this happen to you? I was embarrassingly struggling to get the *perfect* taupe boots zipped when a woman passed by. Then she passed by again. and on her third go around past she stopped and said:
"oh dear, as one mother to another I must tell you this. You have a sucker stick stuck to your back"
......................................................
I gave lilly a sucker at 10:00. It was now pushing 1:00.
WOAH.
What's your high, low, and woah for this weekend? Please share, you'll make my Monday even happier.

high.low.{woah} V.2
Sitting down this morning I felt like writing another high.low.woah post. I enjoyed writing the last one because it reminded me of my days of camp. Who knows? Perhaps it will become more frequent. I'd love for it to be a way that we can connect to each other. It's always fun to share the good, bad and the holy craps! with each other!
HIGH
Yesterday was the perfect fall day. It was one of those days that you just crave as a mother. Family time. Memories. Traditions. Ahhh...just love. We spent the morning picking, carving {for the first time}, scooping, designing, and taking the obligatory jack-o-lantern pictures. It was such a fun morning!
LOW
Perfect fall day=perfect fall videos of daughter covered in pumpkin. RIGHT? Nope. No batteries for the camera. Mommy fail. Camera was working so not a total loss. :)
WOAH
I thought I was a dead woman. While carving my jack-o-lanterns happy grin I sliced my finger. It ended up being **NOTHING** and I don't know if it was the light headedness or the sight of blood but I immediately started thinking about how I could get to the hospital. No sooner had the blade touched my hand and I was thinking " Grab the diaper bag. I bet my neighbor could watch lilly. Call my parents. Call an ambulance. Grab a BRUSH! I'm a mess! I should've taken a shower!" Silly, Laura. The wound didn't even require a bandaid.
Oy.

High-Low-Woah
Many moons ago I was a camp counselor. I spent scorching summers in a wigwam with a new group of 12 preteen girls singing songs, making friendship bracelets, roasting things, blobbing, teaching life lessons, and playing high low each week .
I loved this time. Although each group of girls changed week after week I always felt bonded to the girls during this time. We connected. We shared. We built relationships.
At the end of each evening--as I was tucking my girls into their hannah montanna sleeping bags we would debrief the day by sharing our high's and low's and major woah's of the day. To the girls it was a fun way to end the night giggling over the funny moments and complaining about the evil faced french fries served at dinner for the 4th night in a row. To me it was all those things--but also a way for me to gauge the girl's experiences. Were they having fun? Growing in their faith? Homesick? Making new friends?
I loved this time. Although each group of girls changed week after week I always felt bonded to the girls during this time. We connected. We shared. We built relationships.
Fast forward 8 years ::dang, where do the years go?:: I'm no longer living in wigwam (raise the roof) but I'm still craving connections and relationships. I still enjoy daily reflection and giggles over the humorous moments. And I still love sharing. Here's my high-low-woah from today.
HIGH
Finishing inventory for my show. WHOMP! The high of accomplishment. I'm rolling outta here Tomorrow with 30 necklaces, 60 headbands, and 20 pairs of earrings. That's a lotta handmade right there. I can rest easy tonight. **fingers crossed** HIGH!
LOW
I haven't eaten healthy in a while. My pants feel it. My self confidence feels it. I know what to do--but garsh darn it. LOW
WOAH
Driving home alone in my car ( hello, RARELY happens) means LOUD BOOMING BELT IT music in my Nissan. Today Beyonce was my choice. Rolled up to a stop light singing my bootylicious heart out and pounding my hand on the steering wheel. I don't know what it is, but I get SOUL when I'm in my car. The soul quickly vanished when I awkwardly met eyes with the car to my left and he LAUGHED at me and shook his head. Deflated and hot with the tinge of embarssment yet determined to finish the best part of the song--I continued and luckily the light turned green. WOAH.
Share your high-low-woah with me? I'd love to hear. Not just sayin' that neither. :)
I'm off to Market tomorrow!! I'm so excited. DREAM come true--feel like I'm bout to ralph (do people still say that?). Can't wait to show you my finished booth set up.
