Did someone say to spend money?

{Top Two Things I Want to Purchase}

Oh Lordy, this list could easily turn go from two to 59 in two seconds. I promise I won't though. Basically, I love spending money. It doesn't matter what it is clothes, jewelry, trash bags, milk, screwdrivers. Seriously, I enjoy grocery shopping because I get to buy stuff. I don't mind going out a picking out the odds and ends we need, because I get to spend money. I believe this classifies me as having a "money problem." I love Dave Ramsey and all. and TRULY admire those that are sticking it out. and AM EXTREMELY jealous of those that are debt free.....but really? I'm married to a financial analyst with an accounting and finance degree. The dude budgets for his job. How did this happen. I manage to blow every budget I'm put on. WITH LEGITIMATE REASONS!!! In a budget....what happens when you have a baby shower or a birthday party? Where does that money come from? What do you do in your budget when the shirt YOU HAVE BEEN WANTING FOR WEEKS IS ON SALE AND ONLY FOR TWO DAYS? I mean, how can that work?

Anyway, sorry. I get rather worked up. We save. I just love spending. So.....rambling aside. Here are my top two.

1. New school clothes. Yep, I still get to do it! A bonus to being a teacher. HOLLA! I do enjoy picking out a few new outfits to start the year. I'm looking to purchase these lovelies from The Loft.

2. A DSLR. One day....ahh.. I'm saving up lillypie to hopefully buy one before christmas. I want this one: with a wide angle lens....and a polarizing filter...and a shey b camera strap.

Boom. Chicka Lit Time.

Top Two Favorite Books

Hi, I'm L and I'm a Chicklitaholic
{Hiiiii, L}

When did I start reading chick lit excessively? 4 years ago. It was my first summer after my first year of teaching. I found myself married, home all day by myself, BORED, and occupying a deserted apartment complex pool on a daily basis. During the second week of June, I came to the realization that GLAMOUR and US WEEKLY just. weren't. going. to cut it. At the time I lived across the street from Target {a dangerous and fatal mistake by a newly-wedded couple} and meandered into the book section one scorching June day. I totally judged the books by the cover (still do...sorry) and bought a certain SHOPAHOLIC book and was hooooooooooookkkkeeeed!!

I read the entire series that summer. (If you haven't read them, please don't judge the books by the movie, totally different, totally better...)

After that series?Sadly, it was all downhill from there. I only read chick lit. I love it. I eat them for lunch. I think it's the fluff. I like the bright colorful covers. I like reading silly stories that don't end up making me cry (boo, you, Nicky Sparks for making my cry so many times).

I just finished The Last Song. Tear Fest.

I like laughing and getting wrapped up in the drama all. at. once. {Errrrr.....This is probably also why I can't seem to stop watching The Hills even though I'm a teacher, with a husband, a house, a 401K, a kid, and a mommy blog.....}

My top two fave chickaliterature books?

1. The one that started it all --My Dear Sophie for Miss Becky Bloomwood in Shopaholic (proof I lurve her)

2. My Sweet Emily for Something Borrowed and Something Blue

I am really not shallow. Promise! I have morals. and standards. and real thoughts that aren't about shopping, boyfriends, and OMG! moments--I just choose not to read about them. :) I look forward to reading everyone else's book choices. I need some new books to fuel my addiction.

I WILL GET THIS NAP JARGON UNDERCONTROL and when THAT HAPPENS??
BOOM. Chicka Lit Time.

casa dreaming

Dream house. hmmm.......

I really like our house right now. It's our first HOME. However, there are some things I've been dreaming and scheming about for our next house. Taking into consideration we bought a TWO bedroom ranch...we will be outgrowing our house sooner than expected. Back in 2007 when we bought the house we were on the " we are most definitely waiting at LEAST 5 years before kids plan" Then this little booger showed up. Stinker.

I'm typing this post in our "office" known to others as the recliner by the front door. Nice. Right?

NON- NEGOTIABLE for the next house--therefore making my dreams come true.

WHITE trim, at least 3 bedrooms, open floor plan, NO VINYL FLOORING, fireplace, wood flooring, basement, white kitchen cabinets, and LOTS of windows for natural light. Until then....I've got my mind set on making my living room resemble these lovely pictures from DecoFabulous' home tour

::sigh::: Gorg.

top two? hmph!

Things I could not live without that are under $15...hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

C'mon! JOIN!

First and foremost-- I literally could not survive with out this. No really.

I'm kinda addicted to jewelry and accessories. Especially now, since I'm not really LOVING how clothes fit these days. I'm currently coveting these right now from AE. Kinda on a turquoise kick.

Lilly's a snot face these fine pollen filled days. These are crucial. Ok, more than two, but I CAN'T STOP NOW!

I love this stuff from Walmart. I use it all year round. It absorbs quickly and is $3.50. Holla!

Bare Minerals lip gloss. lurve it. Cotton candy is my color of choice. The stuff is very kind to your skin. So much so they say you can sleep in it. Which is good...cause my nightly routine is terrible. As in non-existent. What?
This little jobber is amazing. His name is Mortimer the Moose. Lilly will chew on him for at least an hour. He squeaks, crinkles, rattles, jingles and is pretty much awesome. Go buy one. Your life will be changed. This is turning into more of a top twelve Tuesday! Shoot balls.

Ahhhh... the plugs. :) Ca-ching! You know you love these....

It's the little things that make this teacher heart go pitter-patter and Mr. Sketch smelly markers do just the trick. Hey, I'm not around my baby, but AT LEAST I get to write with cherry and lemon smelly markers?! They are so much fun they get two pictures.

Ok, this headband is one of my top15thingsIreallyreallyreallywannabuyforthesummerbutshouldn'tbecausewe'reonabudgetitems from the Loft. It's over $15, but with my teacher discount it would be right at. Maybe when I lose 5 lbs I'll treat myself to it.

mkay, this was a bit overkill. super sorry.

Top Two Tuesday- i love my life edition

Top Two Tuesday! Two things you can't live without
I'm gonna go all sentimental gushy mushy on this one. The two things I can't possibly live without in pictures....

I love these two. I can't live without these two. They make me crazy. They make me laugh. They make me cry. They make my world.
